The meaning of the Rev. Wright controversy

March 18, 2008

Greenwald is entirely correct in his parsing of wether or not Wright can be compared to the usual suspects on the Christian right, and though he acknowledges that what really has the neocons’ panties in a bunch is that he speaks the truth as to why they hate us, he doesn’t say any more on this, which merits much attention.

It has been striking to me how the increasing number of paleos swinging to Obama has been conspicuous especially since this controversy erupted, and I know why.  What Rev. Wright has said is precisely what Ron Paul said, and which inspired a flocking of the masses to him like nothing since Gandhi’s arrival in Champaran.  So let us take heart – the Ron Paul Revolution may be buried in its grave, but its soul is marching on!
