Spot on as always.  His concluding notes in the margin on Nader deserve special emphasis, I couldn’t say it better myself.

Also, on the subject of Nader, it bears insisting that Barr is not going to merely be a mirror image on the right of Nader in 2000.  On the contrary, far more serious things are at stake, the Republicans can not possibly fight it on the same insipid terms of “the perfect is the enemy of the good”.
